TY RANDALL WINS MORE AWARDS!
Ty Randall collects THREE more awards at the Monmouth
Camera Club's annual competition.
Pictured above are two of the three images that won.
If you read the
TY NEWS 3/07
you may recognize one of them. The "Bicycler In the Park" has been
entered in 3 competitions this year and won an Honorable Mention in one, an
Award of Merit in another, and most recently, the "Print Of The Year" award for one
of the categories in the annual competition (see below).
Another "Print of the Year" winner for Ty was a black and white version
of one of his Sandy Hook Lighthouse photographs. This image, with it's
unique perspective, was originally taken in color. Ty thought it was
such a good image that it would probably also work in black and white.
Apparently he was right. TRC has also produced this very same image
(the color version) as one of their New Jersey postcards, which are
currently only available from this website or the Borders Bookstore on
Route 18 in East Brunswick, New Jersey.
Ty also won "Print of the Year" in a third category for an old black
and white photograph that is not pictured above
because he does not have a digital file of it. Maybe some day he'll
scan it to show, but I wouldn't count on it because he has moved on
and is working on too many new projects now.
The camera club that Ty is a member of, one of the more prestigious clubs
in New Jersey, has six competitions throughout the year. Each of those
competitions are judged by professional or advanced photographers from
outside the club. Each photographer who wins awards in those competitions
can then enter their award winners in the annual
competition for "Print Of The Year."
This year Ty entered the three that won plus the "Two Sleeping Ducks"
shown above, which did not win this time, but has previously won in two
other competitions.
Here are Ty's results of the 2007 Annual Monmouth Camera Club Photo Competition:
"Bicycler In The Park" - "Print Of The Year" in the "color print by trade
process" category.
"Sandy Hook Lighthouse" - "Print of the Year" in the "monochrome by trade
process" category.
"Bent Tree" - "Print of the Year" in the "monochrome by maker" category.

GALLERY NEWS: Ty's photograph,
"Park Bench, Watchung, New Jersey" will be
one of the ten photographs on display in the
Twisted Tree Cafe in
Asbury Park, New Jersey in July. There will be an opening reception
on Thursday night, July 7 beginning at 6pm.
Beyond that, Ty is busy creating new award-winning work and adding to
current projects. He plans to join a couple group exhibits toward the end of
